Get Visual Studio 2019 <\/h3>\n\n\n\n
  1. Download and install Visual Studio 2019 Community Edition
    1. https:\/\/visualstudio.microsoft.com\/<\/a><\/li><\/ol><\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

      b) Verify Data Storage and Processing and make sure all updates are up to date.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Create the database project<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
      1. Create a new project in Visual Studio<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n
        \"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n
        • Create a new SQL Server Database project.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n
          \"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n
          • To add your first item, select from the new solution and select Add->New Item<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n
            \"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n
            • From the list of items, select \u201cTable (Data Warehouse) as this will allow for slightly different create table statements with columnstore indexes.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n
              \"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n
              • Add your code to the editor. Some items may still show an error but it will not be an issue. Save when ready.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n

                  Update the Target Platform<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
                  1. Right click the solution and select properties<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

                    • Set the Target Platform to Microsoft Azure SQL Data Warehouse and save<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n

                        Publishing Changes to Server<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
                        1. Right click the project in solutions explorer and select \u201cPublish\u201d <\/li>
                        2. Select the Azure SQL Data warehouse as the target database platform and select \u201cPublish\u201d<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n
